24 hours    @ Nyirád

Every year, an amateur 24-hour car race is held at the Nyirád Racing Center, where nearly seventy team compete during the non-stop race on the 1,300 meter long track in the former gravel mine, completing hundreds of laps from Saturday to Sunday afternoon. The race demands thorough preparation by participants, as consistent performance is required both on and off the track: keeping up the pace and avoiding collisions are as much important as thorough and efficient servicing of racing cars during pit stops. The pictures cover several races (2019, 2022, 2023), during which I had the opportunity to follow the race of the Metálgalamb Racing Team.
